Reconstruction and widening of Bloomington Road from Bathurst Street to approximately 500m west of Highway 404. The project included grading, drainage, watermain, storm sewers, illumination, traffic signals, guiderail, noise barrier, paving, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and landscaping. Work on this project also included widening of Bloomington Road through the Whiterose Complex (wetland) located to the west of the Highway 404 and Bloomington Road Interchange. Due to environmentally sensitive areas permits/approvals were required from the Toronto Region Conservation Authority, Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority and the Ministry of the Environment.
